A show for Penguin Random House Publishers at the London Palladium
For Riot Communications in partnership with senior staff at Penguin Random House we produced a show for the London Palladium.
Presenting some of the biggest names and forthcoming books of the year to internal and external guests.
"As we all know, it was much more complex than anything we have done before. ....an extraordinary achievement and it’s down to each of you and the power of teamwork. We started out as a group of individuals on a collective mission but we became a tight team that supported each other and worked together seamlessly. I felt immensely proud to be a part of it.” Rebecca Sinclair Brand and Communications Director, PRH said:
Asked to build on the success of their previous 'Presents' show and to create an experience that nudged the audience and the organisation out of their comfort zone : we put the character and values of the world's largest publishing house centre stage,
We built anticipation for the show in advance with pop up performances in workplaces and thought provoking questions to create opportunities for the audience to participate in the making of the show as well as in the event itself.
Top of the brief was to spark emotion and prompt discussion with a mixed format, highly entertainlng 3 hour show.
We conceived and devised all aspects of the aesthetic and performance with PRH and Riot PR and brought on-board collaborators and suppliers Box Deluxe, Holotronica, Limbic Cinema, High Performance and JMW Studio to create the show with us
guests included : Ai Wei Wei, Stormzy, Bill Bryson, Humza Arshad, Dr Adam Rutherford and Cerys Matthews
" high level of creativity, the playing out of one superb detail after one was hugely impressive. a true experience. so many incredible moments but my favourite was perhaps when all the teachers got a standing ovation after the Puffin World of Stories video. I felt very emotional…Tom Weldon CEO Penguin
