Shoreditch Town Hall
For new members and for tired Old members we put together an early Xmas Celebration event- despite the fact that the Privy Council (The W.C's Ruling body) had disallowed the Starties. A veritable mystery play for our time: the point of the whole thing was a mystery and the play was for everyone. The Ladies of the WC were joined by the famously inspirational guru David McWizard- Seiriol Davies, the girls from Heart and Soul-winners of last year’s Yes Factory, and the real Santa
Guests are invited to dress up if they wish in their Xmas Finery for the Starty and there are always prizes for the best dressed with a special prize for anyone dressed as ‘the immaculate conception’ in 2013
Dear Ladies (and gentlemen) of the WC you are cordially invited to the stupidly entertaining cabaret-cum Womens’ Committee meeting on offer. Its time to get the Xmas Season properly underway with the Ladies of the WC who will guide you through a charmingly ridiculous evening of music, passion, games, dancing, a fabulous raffle, prizes, crafting and laughs.
Running since 2010 The Starty is a bit like a party and a bit like a cabaret
but its also a handy (fictional) Womens’ Committee Meeting to help you air all your seasonal thoughts.
It was November and as we all know Christmas starts sometime in September these days so it was time to get the Starty Partied.
The Starty has been seen at SoHo Theatre , Exmouth Market Centre, the Land of Kings Festival , The Book Club in Shoreditch, London and Winterville for Time Out.
Soho Theatre billed 2011’s Xmas Starties 'The most bizarre office Christmas party you will ever attend.' Le Cool said of 2012’s It's the Christmas Party season. But before you go to your awful evening, you should go to this….. it's critically acclaimed and it's bananas. Brought to you by the brilliant Gideon Reeling” and Gideon Reeling said 'I’ve spent many happy and productive quality times in the WC'
