Salon du Thé
A period afternoon tea experience in the company of a gracious Edwardian host, her flamboyant associates and her domestic staff. Audiences are immersed in a bygone era with friends, strangers and characters for a pleasurable performance and a sumptuous feast.
Developed with Arts Council England and Master Baker Lili Vanilli- The Salon explores the culture surrounding traditional Afternoon Tea.
The events are designed for audiences of 50 people and upwards.
For roll out in Stately Homes and Historic Houses, Theatrical Venues and Festivals or Private Events.
We encourage dressing up for those that enjoy wearing a really good hat or even full Edwardian dress, but we welcome you however you are most comfortable.
The Salon was created by Jo Dagless and Kate Hargreaves with Kathryn McGarr and Matthew Blake
Created with original support from Corn Exchange Newbury and Arts Council England the Salon has been seen at Corn Exchange Newbury, Ham House for the Richmond Literary Festival and as The Salon du Thé Express aboard the Isle Of Wight steam railway, for Lost at Sea Festival.
The show has also featured performers Seiriol Davies, Elizabeth Bichard, Tori Pearson and David Wright of The Cake Shop Bakery as its character, and actual, chef.
Its available for bookings in pretty much anywhere you may like to sit down to a very special Afternoon Tea.
